Wonderjunkie was created by Max Lugavere. Max likes to create content that inspires his audience to a greater vision of life, from music to television. He’s particularly obsessed with neuroscience, psychology, longevity, music, film, the human condition, and writing bios of himself in the third person.
The term “wonder junkie” originates from Carl Sagan’s novel, Contact, in which he describes the central character’s awe and wonder at the mysteries of the Universe:
She was a wonder junkie. In her mind, she was a hill tribesman standing slack-jawed before the real Ishtar Gate of ancient Babylon; Dorothy catching her first glimpse of the vaulted spires of the Emerald City of Oz… she was Pocohontas sailing up the Thames estuary with London spread out before her from horizon to horizon.
